VENEERS
The veneer (wooden sheet), in wood technology, refers to the very thin sheets of wood which usually have a thickness of 0.6mm. It is produced either by "barking" the trunk of a tree or by chopping large rectangular pieces of wood. The appearance of the veneer, its structure as well as its quality depends on the quality of the original raw material as well as on the way the veneer is cut. Each cutting procedure gives a very characteristic type of structure and appearance, depending on the type of wood. Nature creates truly unique and exclusive products. Every tree has at least one characteristic that makes it different from all others, even trees of the same species and family. Its trunk, its structure, its knots, tell the unique story of this particular tree. This uniqueness is transmitted from the tree to the veneer. The choice of wood, the way the trunk is cut and the joining of the veneer, provide infinite possible combinations with a common denominator: originality, natural character and high aesthetics in the final product. The use of veneer is also particularly ecological: instead of some solid wood boards, the raw material produces thin sheets of high-quality material that correspond to surfaces of thousands of square meters. Veneer production processes were first industrialized in the 19th century. Today it is impossible to imagine the furniture and door industries, shipbuilding and aircraft manufacturing and the automotive industry without veneer. The extensive variety of veneers in stock that we have in our company guarantees quality, competitive prices and availability of the requested product, even for special orders.
Below you can see the types of veneer that we have in our warehouse. Images are indicative and may differ from the final product. Contact us to send you samples with the veneer you are interested in or a complete sample catalog with all kinds of veneers.
